I give up!!

UI'm giving up!  Throwing up my hands!  Calling it quits!

Ok, the numbers on the scales weren't good my weekly weigh in.  I was up a few pounds.  But seriously?   It is disheartening.  I am not eating way out of control .  I moved.....ran and hiked and walked.   Disheartening!!!

Look at my stats...I'm doing well!

Ok, I know that I don't REALLY want to call it quits.  I know that I still really want to be be be active.  I want to live a full life....and I know that being healthy and getting my weight under control is a big factor.  But something has to give.  I can't keep banging my head against a brick

Weight loss doesn't always make a lot of sense. Sometimes, you sneak by with a decent weigh in despite having less-than stellar eats, and other times, you are spot on and get the old WTF from the scale. Long haul, baby - you're in it for the long haul. Hang in there.

I've been on a plateau now for almost 3 months. I lose .2, gain .2, lose l2, etc. and it just goes on and on. I've lost 49.4 pounds as of my weigh in today. Been reaching for that illusive 50 pound mark seems like forever. I get very frustrated as well, but it's important we don't give up.

Forgot. As my group facilitator always says, 'If you're eating right and exercising and still gain, remember the check is in the mail."

I bet it will be back down next week. Just keep moving forward!

I like the quote above about the check being in the mail. What about changing things up for a week, maybe doing some weight training or dancing or just borrowing a workout DVD from the library, introduce something new and see what happens? I agree that's it's about the long haul, but of course it's still discouraging to not see the results you expect week to week from your hard work.

Never give up. Never. Take it one meal at a time if you have to but never give up. You got this girl.

I know how frustrating that can be. Keep going and you're body will catch up soon!

There is more to being healthy than numbers on a scale. You are active, in shape, eating healthy. I know it's hard. Don't give up, focus on how you feel and you'll get there!

I wish I had the answer to this one! We've all been there.

I gained 7 pounds at camp, while being incredibly active. I'm stunned. Too stunned to even try to sort it out on the blog.

Keep doing what you know to be right. Forget the sales - said to me as much as to you.
